With Halloween just around the corner, fans of mysteries can discover La légende d’Ovi Champagne during a special free presentation by the podcast Hantées this Friday, October 30, at the Guinguette Marina d’Aylmer.
Presented by Transistor Média, this event is part of a tour that includes stops in Montreal, Trois-Rivières, and Sudbury.
Julien Morissette, a host from the Outaouais region, will trace the journey of Ovi Champagne, a prominent figure in Franco-Ontarian country music, through a story that takes him from Montreal to Hearst in northern Ontario. The stage adaptation will feature previously unseen archival footage, musical excerpts, and the secrets surrounding this iconic figure.
Julien Morissette is a director, sound designer, and musician. As a co-founder of Transistor Média and the Festival de la radio numérique, he specializes in radio production and documentary storytelling. He has created several audio series produced for a wide range of broadcasters. For this tour, he is adapting this world—which blends audio fiction and investigative journalism—for the stage.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m. An autograph session is scheduled after the show.
Admission is free but reservations are required. Tickets and details are available on the official Transistor Média website.
