A word from the publisher about Bulletin delivery
The Bulletin is back with home delivery!
Lily Ryan, Publisher
When PubliSac shut down operations, Aylmer Bulletin readers either purchased paid subscriptions, pick it up for free around town, or only read the web version.
Aylmerites told us how they miss the home free delivery. Life is expensive and paid subscriptions are not in everyone’s habits. The team at the Bulletin understands that buying a paid subscription is not at the top of everyone’s budget list.
This week, we printed over 30,000 copies and sent it out for delivery to Aylmer households. We aim to do this as often as we can afford, but rotating delivery will likely be the method of delivery for the foreseeable future.
While it is true that Canada Post delivery is very expensive, the team at the Bulletin aims to deliver what Aylmer requests: free, high-quality local news.
Dear readers: please know that the best way to be sure you get your copy of the newspaper is to subscribe. The amount we charge offers no profit at all to the paper, it just covers the mailing fees. We aim to offer free delivery to every household by Canada Post, but the cost is prohibitive. Advertising alone is not paying for the printing, let alone salaries, rent, insurance, delivery, taxes etc etc etc. So please keep subscribing, please shop with our advertisers. Talk about the Aylmer Bulletin with colleagues and family. Send in letters and news tips.
Most of all, enjoy this copy of the newspaper. There will be plenty more delivered to Aylmer, in all the ways.
